Employment TermsThis job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in Business Sciences Division that reports to the Program Director – Business Office Technology.
Minimum Requirements- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline OR Associate’s degree & related work experience.
- Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
- Two years of college teaching experience (face-to-face and/or online).
- Experience teaching utilizing the Blackboard Learning Management System.
- Five or more years of work experience in the field of medical billing , records management, insurance, and medical office procedures.
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Certification (CMAA).
- Certified Medical Administrative Specialist Certification (CMAS).
Certain positions are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Refusal to take the test or a positive result will lead to separation and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment. Job DescriptionPrepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material for the following types of courses:
Medical Administrative Procedures and Medical Office Billing/Coding/Insurance. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure;
demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.
