Key Responsibilities- Deliver full-scale electrical system designs (MV, LV, UPS, generators, busbars, PDUs) tailored for high-density computing environments.
- Create schematics, one-line diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications with an emphasis on seamless integration with mechanical and IT systems.
- Incorporate advanced liquid cooling (DLC) requirements and interfaces into holistic electrical infrastructure planning.
- Conduct critical studies including load flow, short-circuit analysis, and reliability modeling using advanced simulation tools.
- Specify and validate electrical components such as switch gear, transformers, and high-current distribution systems.
- Evaluate redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N) to align with certification and uptime standards.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on vendor evaluations and technical reviews.
- Lead FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities ensuring delivery excellence.
- Diagnose and resolve onsite issues during system deployment, leveraging root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to local codes (NEC, IEC) and international standards across all deliverables.
- Develop technical documentation, including O&M manuals, safety protocols, and compliance plans.
- Participate in risk assessments and provide input into construction method statements and safety workflows.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering, client stakeholders, mechanical designers, and IT teams.
- Provide insights into DLC-specific electrical challenges like high rack density and safety strategies.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design for mission-critical infrastructure, particularly data center environments.
- Proven expertise in MV/LV distribution, busbar configurations, and rack-level delivery systems.
- Familiarity with DLC systems and high-density compute applications strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Tier certification standards, applicable electrical codes, and global design benchmarks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to manage tight timelines in dynamic, client-facing project environments.
