** Role Overview
** Vanderlande is looking for a
** Senior Controls Engineer
** to support live, mission-critical automation systems for customers across
** North America**. In this role, you will provide
** third-level controls support**, resolve complex PLC-related issues, and contribute to continuous system and service improvements.

This position combines advanced technical troubleshooting, customer interaction, and occasional on-site support, with a strong focus on system reliability and customer satisfaction.
** What You’ll Do
*** Provide
** third-level support
** for complex PLC, controls, and automation incidents
* Troubleshoot live systems using
** Rockwell Automation PLC platforms** (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Guard Logix) with
** Studio 5000 / RSLogix
*** Diagnose issues related to PLC logic, HMI/SCADA, safety systems, industrial networks, and I/O
* Perform structured root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
* Support customers remotely via secure VPN connections
* Travel to customer sites across North America to perform:  + Software deployments and upgrades  + System health checks  + Performance improvements and corrective actions
* Create and maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve tools, processes, and service delivery
** What You Bring
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
* ** 3+ years of experience
** in industrial automation or controls support
* Strong hands-on experience with
** Rockwell Automation PLCs
** and Studio 5000
* Experience with industrial networks such as
** Ether Net/IP** (Control Net / Device Net is a plus)
* Ability to troubleshoot live production systems in a structured and calm manner
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Willingness to participate in a compensated on-call / stand-by rotation
