Description
You will be the Harness Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP), responsible for delivering cutting‑edge aircraft harness and interconnect solutions.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Harness Design Engineer you will apply deep technical expertise to solve complex wiring and power‑distribution challenges while partnering closely with systems, mechanical, structural, and integration teams.
Responsibilities- Produce electrical wiring schematic drawings and design intricate power‑distribution systems.
- Translate electrical specifications into clear routing diagrams, cable layouts, and detailed installation procedures, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Create and maintain comprehensive wiring‑harness documentation, support prototype builds, troubleshoot integration issues, and manage change requests.
- Develop supplier statements of work and oversee system check‑outs to ensure supplier deliverables meet requirements.
- Work directly with manufacturing during build‑up to diagnose and resolve system problems.
We support a healthy work‑life balance with flexible scheduling options. Work is onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The schedule for this position is 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week, with additional condensed schedules available.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience creating electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
- Experience with Capital Logic, AutoCAD Electrical, or an equivalent Electronic CAD tool.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance per business requirements.
- Electrical harness design and installation experience.
- Hands‑on experience with aircraft modifications.
- Experience working on a small team covering all aspects of system design from concept through testing.
- Knowledge of industry electrical wire harness assembly fabrication and installation methods and processes.
- Experience with aircraft harness, wiring or cable design/schematics.
- Experience with Teamcenter, ENOVIA or equivalent PLM software.
- 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years with a related master's degree.
Need a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. This position requires a government security clearance and you must be a U.S. citizen.
