Structural Engineer

Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Structural Engineer for a partnering firm in Marietta, Georgia. This role will focus on structural design and engineering for heavy industrial equipment projects.

The engineer will work on projects for Bulk Material Handling Conveyor Systems & Equipment. Candidates will be expected to perform their own drawing work as well as engineering duties and project management. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or a junior engineer with an interest in bulk material handling equipment design.

The role will offer the engineer an opportunity to work in all phases of the project—from infancy to implementation. This engineer will learn pricing, project management, engineering, modeling, and startup. Job duties will also include layout of equipment and structures, and conveyor design is a large part of the role.

All candidates will need to be proficient with AutoCAD. Experience with structural analysis and design methods in accordance with AISC is ideal, as well as experience with layout of equipment and structures. Any experience with FEA, Dynamic Analysis and Inventor is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil (structural focus)

$29–$36 per hour based on experience, prior to permanent conversion.
