THE WORKThe candidate will serve as an Airframe and General Systems Instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME). Responsibilities include delivering formal classroom instruction, conducting practical exercises on simulation devices, providing on‑the‑job training (OJT), and developing required training materials. The role also supplies SME support to internal and external customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver classroom and simulation based training for C‑130J general and airframe systems, ensuring close supervision of all students.
- Conduct on aircraft OJT for domestic and international C‑130J maintenance personnel.
- Assist lead instructors/management in planning, preparing, and organizing training events while adhering to corporate and customer safety policies.
- Maintain contract deliverables, track performance metrics, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Travel is required (CONUS/OCONUS) to include deployments for extended periods depending on operational needs; support working different shift/day schedules to meet mission requirements.
- Support multiple international and domestic programs focused on airframe systems, including OJT activities.

- 5+ years performing organizational maintenance on C‑130J airframe systems (landing gear, fuel, hydraulics, flight controls, structures).
- 2+ years delivering formal classroom or OJT for C‑130J airframe systems.
- Operational knowledge of DTADS, the C‑130J 1553B data bus, and familiarity with C‑130J avionics, electrical, and environmental systems.
- Understanding of ISD principles; experience with LMS or LCMS.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; capable of assessing learning outcomes and evaluating instructional effectiveness.
- Physical capability to lift equipment up to 50lbs, climb ladders or maintenance stands, bend, crouch, and stand for 6+ hours during training events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain a U.S. passport and a Secret level clearance.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technical and training applications.
- 8+ years performing organizational maintenance on C‑130H/J airframe systems.
- 4+ years delivering classroom or OJT training for C‑130 aircraft systems.
- Extensive knowledge of C‑130J airframe systems integration and operation.
- Operational knowledge of ECHS (Enhanced Cargo Handling System).
- Hands‑on experience with C‑130J avionics and electrical systems.
- Prior CONUS and OCONUS C‑130 experience.
- Experience supporting C‑130J sustainment and overall aircraft scheduled support.
- Operational knowledge of AE2100D3 power plant.
- Certified training instructor.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and obtain a Secret level clearance.
WORK SCHEDULES- Eligible for part‑time remote telework; schedule to be discussed during hiring.
- Standard 40‑hour week across five days or condensed schedules may apply.
- Role requires a 4×10 hour day schedule, three days off per week.
