Job Description

* Position Summary:

** As a Senior Field Service Engineer (SFSE) you will support Vanderlande customer sites from a mechanical and electromechanical perspective. This role will primarily support the launching of new customer sites, with occasional support at existing facilities. The work will be alongside customer employees acting as a consultant, supporting incident restoration, root cause analysis, and other system improvements.
** Essential Functions
*** Support troubleshooting incidents on Vanderlande supplied equipment
* Working alongside the customers to perform system maintenance
* Performing health checks and audits on the mechanical aspects of the system
* Performing emergency corrective maintenance
* Act as main liaison between the site and Vanderlande on electromechanical issues
* Work to process and escalate as required
* Write up incident summaries and provide reports as and when required
** Required Education & Experience
*** Experienced to degree level in a relevant competency    - Mechatronics    - Service Technician    - Electromechanical
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in material handling systems
** Preferred Education & Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering
* 5 years’ experience in supporting material handling systems
** Required Competencies
*** Strong communication skills, written & verbal
* Able to work on own initiative
* Able to prioritize work as and when needed
* Willing to learn and improve technical capabilities
* Good analytical skills
* Solution-oriented attitude
* Great troubleshooter and problem solver
** Travel
* * This role will be focused on launching new customer buildings in North America. You will be required to travel most of the time on short-term assignments. Travel is estimated to be 75%-100%.
