Description
You will be the C-5M Flight Engineer for the flight test team which is responsible for advancing advanced aircraft capabilities.
What You Will Be DoingAs the C-5M Flight Engineer you will be responsible for delivering critical flight‑test expertise across development, validation, and training initiatives.
Your Responsibilities- Perform duties as a C-5M Flight Engineer supporting Developmental Ground and Flight Tests, Functional Check Flights (FCF), Acceptance Check Flights (ACF), and ferry missions.
- Conduct joint aircraft operations with AMC, AFMC, and AFRC aircrews.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the C‑5M program on both ground and flight operations.
- Provide instructor duties in classrooms, simulators, and on aircraft.
- Support training courseware development and flight‑manual updates.

Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications- 1000 hours minimum experience as a C-5 Flight Engineer
- C-5M Flight Engineer Instructor Certification
- FAA Class II Medical
- C-5M Functional Check Flight experience
- C-5M Flight Engineer Evaluator Certification
- FAA Flight Engineer Certificate
- Developmental or Operational Flight Test experience
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
