C-5M Flight Engineer

Description

You will be the C-5M Flight Engineer for the flight test team which is responsible for advancing advanced aircraft capabilities.

As the C-5M Flight Engineer you will be responsible for delivering critical flight‑test expertise across development, validation, and training initiatives.

• Perform duties as a C-5M Flight Engineer supporting Developmental Ground and Flight Tests, Functional Check Flights (FCF), Acceptance Check Flights (ACF), and ferry missions.
• Conduct joint aircraft operations with AMC, AFMC, and AFRC aircrews.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the C‑5M program on both ground and flight operations.
• Provide instructor duties in classrooms, simulators, and on aircraft.
• Support training courseware development and flight‑manual updates.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

• 1000 hours minimum experience as a C-5 Flight Engineer
• C-5M Flight Engineer Instructor Certification
• FAA Class II Medical

• C-5M Functional Check Flight experience
• C-5M Flight Engineer Evaluator Certification
• FAA Flight Engineer Certificate
• Developmental or Operational Flight Test experience
• FAA Airframe and Power Plant License

This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
