Job Description
** Controls Project Engineer II
** Vanderlande’s Controls Engineering Department is responsible for the designing, programming, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems for our customers.

This is an entry level position, as a Controls Project Engineer II, you will be responsible for commissioning /testing, the design of both small- and large-scale material handling systems that integrate hardware and software components. This position emphasizes PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) aspects of the system; however, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) activities may also be included as part of the job responsibilities.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Configure component level devices
* Perform device level testing in support of PLC commissioning
* Perform device level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
* Document device level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
* Perform zone level testing in support of PLC commissioning
* Perform zone level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
* Document zone level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
* Assist with area level testing in support of PLC commissioning
* Assist with area level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
* Document daily progress of assigned tasks
* Manage punch lists (electrical / mechanical)
* Monitor and document the progress of subcontractors
* Follow all safety requirements at the jobsite
