Job Description *
* You will be the Aeronautical Engineer for the Service Life Analysis Group which is responsible for ensuring the longevity and safety of airframe structures.

** What You Will Be Doing*
* As the Aeronautical Engineer you will be responsible for applying durability and damage tolerance analysis to solve complex technical challenges within the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) and Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Service Life Analysis group.

Your responsibilities will include:

+ Use crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, support Material Review Board (MRB) decisions, and provide field dispositions.

+ Develop force‑management source data to actively manage the airframe and ensure safe operation.

+ Create and implement Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMPs) and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) to support force‑management activities.

+ Participate in MRB processes and propagate technical findings to cross‑functional teams.

+ Support field disposition decisions through data‑driven analysis and reporting.

** Further Information About This Opportunity*
* MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

** Basic Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering

+ Experience performing stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and/or durability and damage tolerance analysis

+ Understanding of engineering drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

** Desired Skills*
* + Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements

+ Familiarity with industry-standard structural analysis tools, including NASTRAN, HyperX, AFGROW, NASGRO, and/or Stress Check

+ Understanding of Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP) under MIL-STD-1530

+ Excellent communication, presentation, people and team skills

+ Experience in CAD systems (i.e. CATIA V5, Solid Works, etc.)

+ Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and manage time effectively

+ Strong understanding of production processes and ability to make appropriate risk-based decisions

+

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point

* Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
