Customer Service Rep
This position is located in the Parks Department, at the Ward Recreation Center- 4845 Dallas Hwy, Powder Springs, GA 30127
This position will primarily work nights and weekends and will be responsible for greeting and assisting patrons by providing information about recreation programs, schedules, and facility policies. This position will also assist with custodial duties such as cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep of the facility.

Responsibilities- Perform customer service functions: provide information or assistance regarding services, activities on the phone and in person, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; respond to routine questions and complaints; research problems and initiate problem resolution; and refer complaints/problems to appropriate personnel.
- Process participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events: receive requests for classes, court times, or other scheduled services; review registration forms for accuracy and completeness; enter information into online database and calendars; collect and record fees; and maintain related documentation.
- Prepare facilities according to daily schedule: open and close facility; unlock and lock doors; turn lights on or off; disarm and set alarm; move, set up, and tear down tables, chairs, etc.; and perform routine cleaning duties such as emptying trash, sweeping floors, etc.
- Maintain attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by one year of work experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field.
Additional QualificationsRequires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable.
Sensory RequirementsSome tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, taste, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental FactorsPerformance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, smoke, noise extremes, and electric currents.
