Customer Service Rep
This position is located within the PARKS Department, at "The Art Place". This position will work primarily nights and weekends.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service functions: provide information or assistance regarding services, activities, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; respond to routine questions and complaints; research problems and initiate problem resolution; and refer complaints/problems to appropriate personnel.
- Process participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events: receive requests, review registration forms for accuracy, enter information into online database and calendars, collect and record fees, and maintain related documentation.
- Prepare daily financial reports and deposits: count monies received, balance cash drawers to system reports, audit transactions to locate and correct discrepancies, close out cash drawers, prepare and submit deposits, and maintain related documentation.
- Promote recreational programming and events: create and publish promotional materials such as schedules, news releases, flyers, brochures, posters, signs, websites, and social media posts.
- Provide administrative support: conduct tours, attend meetings, answer the telephone, prepare attendance and registration reports, memos, correspondence, and other files and records; copy and file documents; enter computer data; and maintain inventory of supplies, forms and equipment.
- Prepare facilities according to daily schedule: open and close facility, unlock and lock doors, control lights and alarms, move and set up tables and chairs, and perform routine cleaning duties.
- Organize, instruct and supervise assigned recreational activities—including youth programs, senior programs, special needs programs, fitness programs and classes, sports leagues and clinics, after-school and summer programs, arts and crafts programs, theater and performing arts programs, special events, or nature and environmental programs: gather supplies and equipment, verify required forms, teach classes, clinics and skills, provide information and direction, perform assessments, and ensure all activities comply with established rules, policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in customer service or related field, and two years of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in visual and performing arts terminology and workings.
- Experience with graphic arts related programs/software, social media and websites.
- Experience with classroom environments and working with children.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds) and extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory RequirementsSome tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental FactorsEssential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
