Job Summary
As a Collector, you will be responsible for contacting individuals or businesses with overdue payments and facilitating the collection of outstanding debts. You will use various methods to locate and contact debtors, negotiate payment plans, and maintain accurate records of all interactions.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification is a plus
- Proven experience in debt collection or a related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet established goals
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices
- Contact individuals or businesses with overdue payments via phone, mail, or in person
- Negotiate payment plans or settlements with debtors to resolve outstanding debts
- Document all communication and payment agreements accurately in the system
- Assist in the recovery of outstanding debts through legal actions if necessary
- Provide regular updates on account status to management
- Collaborate with other team members to improve collection strategies and meet targets
