Description and Primary Purpose of Position
This position of moderate difficulty is responsible for providing a variety of case management and outreach interventions to consumers in their natural environment. The individual serves as an advocate in assisting consumers in accessing community resources, teaching and modeling self‑help and coping skills. Must be able to develop WRAP Plans.
Minimum Training & Experience- A Certified Peer Specialist certificate, or certificate eligible within six months.
- Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more years in recovery.
- Must have excellent assessment and crisis management skills. Candidate will work closely with metro area hospitals, city/county jails and courts. Must be able to negotiate system boundaries.
