DESCRIPTION of the position:

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) works directly with children with disabilities, to provide in-home care and support. Behavior Support Aides Service delivery includes structured tasks that consist of a comprehensive functional behavioral assessment of challenging behavior(s).

LOCATION:

Sharpsburg, GA

Schedule:

Wednesday 4:00pm - 9:00pm / Saturday 10:00am - 6:00pm / Sundays 10:00am - 6:00pm / PRN

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Job
  • Implement 1:1 behavioral intervention program for children with autism in their homes.
  • Assist and encourage with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Observe and record a child's behaviors through data input into an electronic device and log hours and data accurately.
  • Communicate with supervisory staff
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
  • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work.
  • Complete daily session notes in a timely and thorough manner
  • Attend and participate in additional trainings or meetings.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions.
REQUIREMENTS of the job
  • Must have a minimum of 1 full year of CNA experience
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Previous experience with tonic and focal seizure patients is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans accurately
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping individuals with special needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client locations as needed
