Respiratory Therapist – Part Time Evenings

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in complex clinical situations, primarily in critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, and arterial blood gas sampling.
• Educate patients, families, and support systems, while mentoring new employees and students.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and ensure safe, evidence-based practices.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented environment and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, electronic orders, and promote patient safety and medication safety protocols.
• Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP required upon hire.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and interpersonal skills, along with computer proficiency.
