Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary / Respiratory Care
Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments primarily in critical care areas.
Key Duties: Provides patient education, collaborates with healthcare teams, manages ventilators, performs arterial blood gas sampling, and assists with invasive and non-invasive procedures. Ensures safe, high-quality care, promotes evidence-based practices, and supports staff and student development.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications. 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Must have excellent communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, along with the ability to establish professional relationships.
Core Focus: Patient assessment, therapy planning, documentation, promoting a team-oriented environment, ensuring safety, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Must adhere to organizational policies and standards.
