Database administrators are in charge of managing and maintaining company databases. Database administrators are more into enforcing a data management policy and ensuring that company databases are operational and backed up in the event of memory loss.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 5+ years of experience working as MS SQL DBA and technical support experience.
- Having Azure domain experiences is a big asset.
- Leadership - handle technically challenging and politically sensitive customer situations
- Strong communications skills - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Effective, polished interaction with customer to gather information quickly; explain customer responsibilities in resolving issue; communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence
- The successful Support Engineer has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve difficult customer issues; directly supports customers through telephone, email, and chat services as applicable
- Cross-team collaboration
- SQL DB /Technical Skills
- Experience with SQL Server or an equivalent database product - Must have.
- Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving role - Must have.
- Experience with Relational Database management systems and concepts
- High Availability:
Experience/Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in On-Premise environments - Experience in SQL Server Performance
- Experience in Database and Server Administration
- Should able to deploy and Troubleshoot SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances etc.
- Experience/Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in Azure cloud
- Having Azure domain experiences is a big asset.
- Experience in a customer facing or customer support role
