** Job Summary, Duties, and Skills
** The QA Lead will lead multiple QA Teams and external vendors in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. They should have deep expertise in manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications. The QA Lead will use their strong experience in the financial services sector, particularly in the card industry, and in building scalable testing strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory standards, to help the Teams attain their goals.
This role requires hands-on proficiency with modern QA tools and frameworks, including Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio, MS SQL, and API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
** Key Functions/ Basic Duties:
**** Team Leadership & Strategy
*** Lead and grow a distributed team of QA engineers and manage relationships with offshore/nearshore QA vendors.
* Define and implement the overall QA strategy for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring coverage, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on delivery timelines, scope, and quality standards.
** Test Management & Execution
*** Develop test plans, test cases, and automation scripts covering functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and UAT testing.
* Oversee test execution and ensure complete traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects using Azure Dev Ops.
* Establish and track quality KPIs such as defect leakage, test coverage, and release readiness metrics.
** Automation, Tools & Frameworks
*** Build and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile using tools such as Selenium, Visual Studio Test Frameworks, BDD etc.
* Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines managed through Azure Dev Ops.
* Apply best practices in source control, versioning, and test data management.
** API & Backend Testing
*** Design and execute API test cases using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI.
* Validate backend workflows, data consistency, and system integrations using MS SQL Server for queries and validations.
** Domain Expertise & Regulatory Alignment
*** Ensure QA practices align with financial industry standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC
2).
* Bring subject matter expertise in card management systems, including transaction flows, disputes, card lifecycle events, and processor integrations (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, and network APIs).
** Vendor & Release Management
*** Oversee QA deliverables from vendor teams, including planning, execution, SLA adherence, and knowledge transfer.
* Participate in release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and production validation.
* Any other duties as assigned.

* Required Qualifications:
*** 7+ years in Quality Assurance with deep exposure to both manual and automation testing.
* 2+ years in a QA leadership or management role handling web and mobile QA efforts across distributed teams.
* Proven experience in the financial services sector, with emphasis on card issuing, transaction systems, or payment gateways.
* Hands-on with Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio, Selenium, and MS SQL Server.
* Strong knowledge of mobile testing frameworks and strategies (iOS and Android).
* Proficient in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Load Runner).
* Exposure to cloud-based testing and mobile device labs (e.g., Browser Stack, Sauce Labs).
* Language
