Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with hands‑on experience in VMware, Windows Domain administration, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing physical and virtualized environments using vCenter, ensuring security best practices, automating system configurations and deployments with Ansible, Power Shell, and Bash, and managing container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Open Shift.
They will also manage security controls (Ivanti Security Controls, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator), Splunk, and Tenable.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage VMware‑based physical and virtualized environments using vCenter.
- Ensure security best practices across all platforms.
- Automate system configurations and deployments using Ansible, Power Shell, and Bash.
- Manage container orchestration tools including Kubernetes or Open Shift.
- Manage Ivanti Security Controls, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator, Splunk, and Tenable.
- Provide ADP lab computer infrastructure support, asset management, cyber resiliency, technical design, system development, system test, and capability enhancements.
- Participate in all project phases: proposal development, design, component procurement, system integration, and system verification.
- Contribute to system design, system stand‑up, and system deployment.
- Coordinate with program cyber security representatives, cross‑functional lab development engineering teams, and lab customers.
- Mentor junior‑level team members.
- Senior Platform Engineer with expertise in enterprise networking, network security, network protocols, and infrastructure automation.
- Hands‑on experience with routing and switching technologies, network access and control, and core network services.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper OS, and PAN OS.
- Experience working in DoD environments, including adherence to STIGs and classified network architectures.
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (vCenter, ESXi, Hyper‑V).
- Experience with software‑defined networking, network segmentation, and infrastructure automation.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Leadership and CAM experience required (technical lead and deputy to the IPT lead).
- 3+ years of related experience and post‑secondary education or training in a related discipline.
- Security+ certification mandatory.

CLI, Windows Power Shell, Git, JSON, YAML, SQL, Ansible, Salt Stack, Python, Bash scripting, Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS. - Jira, Splunk, Grafana/Prometheus, Tableau, RESTful API development.
- Experience working in DoD environments, CAM, basis of estimate experience.
- Leadership experience, Secret clearance.
US citizen required. Secret clearance necessary, with a company‑sponsored interim secret clearance for the selected candidate.
