We are seeking a Plan Review Supervisor for a full-time, on-site role in Marietta, GA. The Plan Review Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the review process for construction, renovation, and development projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Responsibilities include managing an assigned team, reviewing plans/documents, providing assistance to developers and contractors, and ensuring staff adherence to best practices.
The role also includes conducting meetings, compiling reports, analyzing compliance issues, and facilitating communication between departments, stakeholders, and the public.
- Technical skills in reading, interpreting, and applying construction codes, plans, and regulations
- Proficiency in project management, team supervision, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including preparing comprehensive reports and conducting meetings
- Problem-solving skills to address compliance challenges and provide solutions to stakeholders
- Familiarity with foundational building systems, safety standards, and related construction tools or processes
- Experience in zoning, land development processes, and local/state building regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in office software and permit management systems is preferred
- Minimum qualifications include a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in city planning, engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Relevant certification(s) in plan review, construction, or building code compliance is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Cobb County, its construction codes, and existing development projects is a plus
