Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician to work out of one of our offices in Ellijay, GA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment

• Conduct routine maintenance according to PM planned schedules
• Assist the maintenance supervisor in down equipment repairs
• Replace small motors, hydraulic pumps and lines
• Learn basic equipment operations
• Maintain, repair, or replace plumbing fixtures
• Assist in equipment installs and electrical repair
• Proactive in learning new equipment, attend training, and/or utilize other resources to maintain new equipment, prolong equipment life, and ensure company investments are maximized.

Days/Shift:

• Monday thru Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Ideal Candidate:

• A background in electricity related to industrial equipment is essential; knowledge and experience with 208V, 240V, and 480V 3 Phase Power
• Experience in a steel/ metals manufacturing or fabrication work environment.
• Experience troubleshooting & problem solving to repair down machinery is essential.
• Certification or Education related to Industrial Electricity and/or Industrial Maintenance .
• Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for an 8-hour shift.
• Be able to work independently and efficiently.
• Committed to safety and a clean work environment.
• An attitude of collaboration and teamwork is a must.
• Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
