Description
The Production Assembler – F35 assembles and installs components of the F35 aircraft.
What You Will Be DoingUse jigs and fixtures, rivet upsetting and bench assembly equipment, and hand tools to assemble and install components.
Responsibilities- Use rules, squares, protractors, and dividers to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Read and interpret detail, assembly, and installation blueprints or other authorized documents to obtain assembly and installation information and material callouts.
- Use arithmetic (decimals and fractions) to perform calculations and measurements.
- Work to tolerances as required.
- Assemble and install components using jigs, fixtures, rivet upsetting and bench assembly equipment, and hand tools.

Who You AreThe ideal candidate is a highly skilled, detail‑oriented assembler with experience using jigs and fixtures, rivet upsetting and bench assembly equipment, and hand tools. You have excellent problem‑solving skills, can read and interpret blueprints, and work to tight tolerances.
Basic Qualifications- At least 12 months of production assembly or mechanical experience (HVAC, automotive, construction, bench assembly).
- Ability to read assembly blueprints.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Pass required testing during training and hands‑on proficiency demonstrations to retain employment.
- Sheet metal experience.
- Drilling experience.
- Technical experience similar to auto mechanic/auto body repair, HVAC technician, construction.
- Bench assembly experience.

Other Important Information You Should KnowMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN; the position requires special access. The role is onsite full‑time with a 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Ability to work remotely is not applicable.
