About the Role:
The Flavor Line Mechanic position is responsible for maintaining , troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and adhering to all safety and quality standards. You will be performing the following tasks, including but not limited to:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all types of production equipment.
- Operate power tools and basic shop machinery to complete repairs, modifications, and equipment improvements.
- Always Follow and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPS) .
- Proactively collaborate with managers and team members to identify, assess, and resolve mechanical and equipment issues.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime, weekends, or varied schedules as needed.
- Previous experience working in the food industry is highly desirable.
- This is a full-time permanent role on the 2 nd shift, which operates M onday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Overtime may be available, depending on the needs of the business. The anticipated starting wage rate for this p osition i s $26.55 to $31.55 per hour plus $0.60 shift differential.
- Experience High speed packaging in Consumer food product or pharmaceuticals required
- Experience with over head box conveyors and bulk delivery and storage required
- One or two years ofhands on experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance activities.
- Ability to use measuring tools such ascaliper , tape measure and micrometers.
- Familiarity with metric system andunits of measurements.
- Read and comprehend machineuser manuals, tehcnical drawings/ blue prints and follow SOP instructions.
- Properly use hand and shop tools in a safe manner.
- Be able to assemble/disassemble components like bearings, bushings, gears, sprockets, etc.
- Machine shop and welding experience is preferred.
- Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus, such as usinga multimeter, troubleshooting sensors, motor starters, etc.
- Be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices, Lock out/Tag out andwork place safety practices.
- Technical college degree or certificates are preferred.
