Job Summary
You will be the Electrical Wiring Fabricator (Fabrication) responsible for soldering, final bench assembling, and continuity checking aircraft electrical radio and radar assemblies.
Responsibilities- Assemble and wire aircraft electrical, radio, and radar units such as main junction and terminal boxes, main engine disconnect plug, main control and switch panels, radio panels, and instrument panels.
- Complete hookup of wiring, flexes, and cables, and troubleshoot electrical and radio assemblies with multiple interconnected units and accessories.
- Form and run harnesses; break out and terminate wiring to terminal points according to jig board layouts.
- Make continuity checks (including necessary operation) of assemblies and harnesses and submit findings to inspection.
- Fabricate high‑voltage radio and radar cables that require soldering of multiple wires, shields, tubes, connectors, pins, washers, spacers, and cores.
- Highly skilled and experienced electrical wiring fabricator with strong knowledge of wiring and fabrication processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, wire cards, and production illustrations.
- Ability to work with automated wire processing machines.
- Six months of electrical wire harness fabrication, electrical assembly experience, and/or wire routing.
- Documented experience performing wire processing machine operation, or similar.
- Must perform and pass required testing and proficiency demonstrations to retain employment.
- Prior electrical background in commercial, industrial, or military settings preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Clearance Level: None.
- Work is performed onsite, full‑time, at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. - Type:
Full‑Time, Hourly/Non‑Exempt, First shift.
