Primary Responsibilities and Skills

  • Ensure information is communicated between shifts
  • Ensure Company Safety, Quality and Production standards are met
  • Maintenance duties include stooping under machinery, entering confined spaces, and climbing ladders
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to interpret and translate designs and documentation
  • Thorough understanding of or ability to quickly learn production equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug to finalize the majority of machine lines required in house or at the customers’ facility
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Visual color discrimination, ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good attendance
  • Strong leadership abilities
Background / Experience
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma preferred, technical school education, or equivalent
  • Heavy mechanical/operator level skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Two years of related manufacturing focus experience in a converting facility or similar type preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components
  • Trained knowledge in mechanical assembly standards, engineering standards, or other applicable procedures and parts flow
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Schedule

Frequent overtime is required. Flexibility to work any shift.

  • Sitting, walking, or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods
  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
