Flavor Line Mechanic

Flavor Line Mechanic – Full time, 2nd shift, Marietta, GA

The Flavor Line Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. The role supports production by minimizing downtime, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and adhering to all safety and quality standards.

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all types of production equipment.
• Operate power tools and basic shop machinery to complete repairs, modifications, and equipment improvements.
• Follow and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPS).
• Collaborate with managers and team members to identify, assess, and resolve mechanical and equipment issues.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime, weekends, or varied schedules as needed.

• High‑speed packaging experience in consumer food product or pharmaceuticals required.
• Experience with overhead box conveyors and bulk delivery and storage required.
• One or two years of hands‑on manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
• Familiarity with metric system and units of measurement.
• Ability to read and comprehend machine user manuals, technical drawings/blueprints, and follow SOP instructions.
• Proficient in safe use of hand and shop tools.
• Ability to assemble/disassemble components such as bearings, bushings, gears, sprockets, etc.
• Machine shop and welding experience preferred.
• Electrical knowledge and experience a plus (multimeter use, sensor troubleshooting, motor starters).
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Lock‑out/Tag‑out, and workplace safety practices.
• Technical college degree or certificates preferred.

• Full‑time permanent role, 2nd shift (Monday‑Friday, some Saturdays).
• Overtime may be available depending on business needs.
• Hourly rate: $26.55 to $31.55 plus a $0.60 shift differential.
