Location:
Marietta, GAShift: 2nd Shift | 6:45 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Schedule:
12-hour rotating schedule (3 days on / 3 days off)
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour Position Summary The Production Machine Operator / Assembly Operator supports daily manufacturing operations through machine operation, assembly, material handling, quality inspections, packaging, and inventory movement. This position helps maintain efficient production by keeping equipment supplied, monitoring machine operation, replenishing materials, performing inspections, and supporting production goals while following all company safety and quality standards. Candidates must be able to work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts (3 days on / 3 days off).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sort, inspect, and package products according to quality standards.
Load and unload products into and from annealing ovens.
Keep machines supplied with containers, trays, and materials to maintain production flow.
Exchange full collection containers and trays to prevent production interruptions.
Respond to machine alarms and perform machine startups, shutdowns, and restarts after receiving required certification.
Perform daily machine inspections and complete required documentation.
Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, safety issues, and production problems to supervisors.
Replenish material bins, monitor grinder operations, maintain scrap control procedures, and complete required paperwork.
Load, unload, and track work-in-process (WIP) inventory using barcode scanners and tracking systems.
Operate assembly equipment, inspect finished parts, complete production documentation, and maintain clean work areas.
Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety policies, quality standards, and PPE requirements.
Assist in other production, assembly, warehouse, or material handling areas as needed.
Qualifications
Required MUST be able to pass a background check & Drug Screen1–3+ years of experience in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment.
Experience in production, material handling, or assembly operations.
Experience supporting machine operations and performing product inspections, packaging, and quality control.
Experience using barcode scanners and tracking WIP inventory.
Ability to complete production reports and required documentation.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
Ability to work a rotating 3-days-on / 3-days-off schedule.
Previous machine operation experience.
Previous assembly equipment operation experience.
Forklift experience is a plus.
MUST HAVE Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
