Key Responsibilities As Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)- Lead orientation and onboarding for all new nursing staff
- Plan and conduct in-service training and ongoing staff education
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Identify and address staff learning needs and clinical development
- Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical best practices
- Manage the facility’s infection prevention and control program
- Track, analyze, and report infection data in accordance with CMS and CDC guidelines
- Provide training on PPE usage, hand hygiene, and outbreak response
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local infection control requirements
- Work collaboratively with leadership on quality and safety initiatives
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting preferred
- Background in staff education and/or infection control
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with CMS, CDC, and state infection control regulations
- CIC certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
