Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care - TEMP - Augusta, GA

Work Shift

Night (United States of America)

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Patient Care and Care Coordination:
    Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients’ conditions; assist with care planning; deliver care plans, applying independent judgment when appropriate; collaborate with and communicate patient care plans with staff; prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and patient experience; maintain appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, education provided, and any incidents or exceptions related to standards of care.
  • Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction:
    Listen to concerns, probe in depth to understand needs, and respond to patient needs in a timely manner; serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health‑related issues; communicate necessary patient information to family, licensed care providers, and other staff; prioritize actions according to patient needs and provide input into the plan of care while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Performance Improvement:
    Seek opportunities to improve the work environment and processes; contribute ideas to identify solutions and support change implementation; contribute to improvement initiatives aligned with better patient and staff satisfaction and organizational performance.
  • Professional Competency and Growth:
    Maintain professional licenses and certifications; complete all required training; identify and manage training and development opportunities; stay current with research literature and best practices; seek opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
  • Professional Leadership:
    Mentor and precept other nurses; foster a positive and supportive work environment; adhere to confidentiality, safety, and professional standards; demonstrate shared governance principles and integrity; hold self and others accountable for practice, including peer feedback; promote the nursing profession and assist with recruitment of nurses.
Required

Minimum Education
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
  • Basic Life Support or BLS – Instructor
  • RN – Multi‑State Compact
Required Minimum Experience

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
