Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an RN in the Operating Room
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Comprehensive knowledge of aseptic technique, patient safety, and infection control
• Ability to circulate and/or scrub in diverse surgical procedures, including general, ortho, neuro, and plastics
• Proficient assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Solid communication abilities and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care throughout all phases of the perioperative process
• Prepare OR suites and surgical equipment for procedures
• Safely administer medications, monitor patient status, and assist the surgical team as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery
• Facilitate communication between the surgical team, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes
• Accurately document patient data, care provided, and interventions in the electronic medical record
