Shift Details
Full-time, days – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Responsibilities- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking.
- Ensure care is individualized, coordinated through effective partnerships, and culturally sensitive.
- Provide bedside shift reports and keep patients, families and team updated, keeping the patient's goals central.
- Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes a professional care model.
- Demonstrate teamwork, collaboration and fiscal responsibility to recruit and retain all healthcare team members.
- Participate in performance improvement, inclusive of research and research utilization, initiating and leading activities, and promoting inter- and intra-disciplinary processes.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nurses, staff and students of all disciplines to build a qualified future workforce.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research and performance improvement.
- Participate in value analysis during decision-making for patient-care products.
- Uphold all system/organizational policies, procedures, legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and TJC patient-safety goals.
- Participate in data collection and pose relevant clinical questions for evidence-based practice.
- Proactively plan patient care across the continuum during direct patient care.
- Assist in developing protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and other team members.
- Graduate of an accredited or approved nursing school.
- Bachelor’s (BScN) degree in nursing from an accredited school.
- Preferred:
Rehabilitation Nurse (Single State) or RN – Multi-state Compact. - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Calm, competent response to emergencies.
- Clear, effective communication in person, written, or telephone.
