Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Part-time - Days - Medical Specialties - Kennestone

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Specialties at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Day shift. The role provides patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and their families to support positive health outcomes.
  • Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based practices to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Accurately document patient care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and service excellence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, shared governance, and ongoing professional development.
  • Serve as a mentor or preceptor as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of one (1) year of recent, relevant RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Licensure &

    Certifications:

    Current Georgia RN license or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ACLS preferred.
