Overview

Adelphi is seeking a qualified per diem Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing/health care services in a school clinic setting located in Cobb County, Georgia. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration, the District School Nurse Administrator, and designated school staff to support student health needs in the absence of the school nurse and in accordance with established school health guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and standards of practice.

    Monday–Friday; hours vary by school need, generally up to a full school day
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
  • Previous school nursing, pediatric, or student health care experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing/health care services to students in the school clinic in the absence of the school nurse.
  • Assess student health concerns and provide appropriate nursing intervention within scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, school policy, and applicable nursing standards.
  • Monitor students with acute, chronic, or complex health conditions during the school day.
  • Provide care for students requiring early morning support or After School Program coverage when assigned.
  • Respond to student illness, injury, emergencies, and other health-related situations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, medications administered, incidents, and student health encounters.
  • Follow Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, infection control practices, and school health protocols.
  • Communicate health-related concerns to designated school staff and appropriate CCSD personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student health records and information.
  • Report incidents or circumstances that may affect student health or safety in a timely manner.
  • Conduct oneself professionally while working in the school environment.
