Position: Travel Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Marietta, GA

This travel assignment offers the chance to deepen your skills in a busy medical stepdown unit, managing a wide spectrum of acute and chronic conditions. You’ll work with a seasoned interdisciplinary team, benefiting from diverse approaches to patient care and witnessing effective leadership styles firsthand. Schedule
  • 36 or 48-hour workweeks
  • Flexible contracts to fit your needs
Qualifications
  • Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent stepdown or similar experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Comfort with a patient mix including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes (TDM2), Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
Responsibilities
  • Care for a patient census of 16-20 beds (nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4)
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions in a fast-paced medical stepdown unit
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health staff
  • Accurately document care and patient progress
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and care plans
