Role Overview:
The RN Resident participates in a structured 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduate RNs with less than six months of experience.
Responsibilities:Provide patient-centered nursing care following the Nursing Process, utilizing evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and individualized care plans. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes, respecting cultural diversity and system policies. Complete sequential orientation phases including system, core, specialty onboarding, and monthly NRP sessions. Under supervision, deliver safe, ethical, and high-quality care aligned with standards and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications & Skills:Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. Current RN license (single-state or multi-state Compact) and BLS or BLS Instructor certification required. Less than six months of experience needed. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills essential.
Key Duties:Implement nursing care plans, participate in professional development activities, and support service excellence. Collaborate with educators, preceptors, and leaders to transition into professional practice effectively.
