Inpatient Dialysis Nurse

Role Overview: The Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering competent patient care in a dialysis setting.

• Perform assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, documenting findings and adjusting treatments as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and care needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and facility staff, to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and manage intradialytic transfusions, reporting adverse reactions appropriately.
• Provide safe patient care during dialysis procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Supervise and train staff as assigned and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Complete required training and meet CAP advancement requirements.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 9 months of nursing experience, with preferred dialysis or ICU background.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients and equipment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Involves direct patient care, heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and exposure to infectious materials, within a healthcare facility setting. May require travel, participation in on-call rotations, and working nights, weekends, or holidays.
