The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for individuals and families. Working on-site in Columbia County, GA, the RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the broader care team to coordinate treatments, administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition. Daily responsibilities include documenting clinical information accurately, educating patients and caregivers on treatment plans and self-care, promoting safety and infection prevention, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

The RN also participates in interdisciplinary rounds, contributes to care transitions and discharge planning, and upholds Wellstar’s values in every interaction. This is a full-time, on-site position that may require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on unit needs.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia and graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Demonstrated clinical nursing skills in assessment, care planning, medication administration, and patient monitoring, with a strong focus on safety and infection control.
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, including effective communication with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals.
• Strong patient and family education skills, including the ability to explain treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions in a clear, compassionate manner.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation, time management, and prioritization in fast-paced or high-acuity settings.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications preferred based on unit.
