Position OverviewThe Store Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store by ensuring accurate product handling, excellent customer service, and safe, efficient operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ideally epoxy-related product knowledge. The Store Associate plays a critical role in both in-store contractor support and online order fulfillment, contributing directly to the success of store operations.
Key Responsibilities- Report directly to the Store Manager and support daily operational needs.
- Perform daily store duties, including customer support, stocking incoming product, unloading deliveries, and maintaining facility cleanliness.
- Accurately process order entry and provide outstanding customer service to contractors and walk-in customers.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular audits, and maintain records using store management systems.
- Collaborate with the E-commerce team to fulfill online orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Safely operate and learn all store equipment; enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands and resolve issues.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
- Provide customer-facing support by assisting contractors with purchases and product inquiries.
- Always ensure store cleanliness inside the store and outside.
- Epoxy-related work experience or product knowledge strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of store operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Experience with store management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks regularly.
- Tow motor/fork truck operations is a daily activity; the candidate will be required to learn via company provided training and operate this equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Other job duties as assigned.
