Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Cashier
Overview
Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Cashier who enjoys meeting new people and delivering exceptional customer service. The role is the face of the company, processing orders quickly and accurately while maintaining a friendly, fast‑paced environment.
Overview Of Responsibilities- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments with care.
- Assist with stocking, facing, and dusting as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, product locations, and current events.
- Communicate effectively with the front‑end manager and Head Cashier.
- Keep checkout areas clean and orderly.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1‑2 years of recent cashiering experience.
- Carry an outgoing, friendly demeanor and a positive attitude toward customers.
- Operate front‑end equipment, including register, calculator, and scanner.
- Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Have good communication skills and be open to constructive feedback and teamwork.
- Be able to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Lift or carry product horizontally or vertically up to 30 lbs. from 36” to 24” for up to 3 feet, and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. for up to 4 feet.
- Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills.
