play a key role in selling process flow control solutions. This full‑time position requires establishing and expanding relationships with current customers and outside sales colleagues.

responsibilities
  • sell company products and services, process orders, handle price and delivery inquiries, and provide technical and application information.
  • maintain responsibility of orders from quotation to collection: select and specify products using internal tools, respond to customer inquiries, process orders, send order acknowledgements, review purchase orders for special conditions, and verify ship dates.
  • increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and reviewing customer buying history.
  • process and expedite orders, customer returns, and vendor returns accurately and timely; create purchase orders and follow‑up with vendors for delivery.
  • negotiate pricing and delivery with vendors when necessary.
  • collaborate closely with outside sales to solicit business, execute order transactions, and maintain superior customer service.
  • communicate effectively and contribute positively as a member of the inside sales team, sharing workload and handling incoming calls.
  • maximize gross margin by ensuring fcx is paid for superior service, problem solving, and technical expertise.
  • review open customer order reports and take action on items at risk of missing promised delivery dates.
  • perform other duties as assigned by management.
qualifications
  • bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1‑3+ years of experience in customer service or an inside technical sales/customer service role with an industrial distributor.
