Sales Representative

As a Commission-Based Sales Professional at Smith Automotive Group, you’ll be a vital part of our team, connecting with customers and helping them find their ideal vehicles. Your passion for cars, excellent communication skills, and sales expertise will drive success in this role.

Role

Description:
  • The Commission-Based Professional Sales Consultant is responsible for driving sales and revenue through effective prospecting, client engagement, and closing deals.
  • This role operates on a commission-based compensation structure, rewarding successful sales performance.
Role Duties/Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
  • Greet Customers:
    Welcome customers arriving at the dealership.
  • Assist customers in selecting the right vehicle based on their preferences and needs.
  • Provide transparent information about new and used cars, financing options, and features.
  • Conduct test drives and highlight vehicle features.
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Identify potential clients through research, networking, and referrals.
  • Cold-call or visit prospects to introduce products/services.
  • Qualify leads and assess their fit for the offerings.
Consultative Selling and Relationship Building:
  • Understand client needs and pain points.
  • Present tailored solutions and demonstrate value.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Sales Process:
  • Negotiate pricing and finalize sales transactions.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Stay informed about automotive trends and product updates.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts.
  • Finance Coordination:
    Collaborate with the finance department to determine financing options.
  • Follow Up:
    Contact past customers to ensure satisfaction with their vehicles.
Market and Product Knowledge:
  • Understand the features and benefits of the products/services being sold.
Self-Driven and Results-Oriented:
  • Operate independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Thrive in a commission-based compensation structure
Additional Requirements:
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and goal oriented.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, motor vehicle records, drug tests, credit reports).
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license (required for select roles).

  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Drive to set targeted personal income goals consistent with Smith Automotive Group’s standards of productivity
  • Proven ability to exceed established automotive sales and customer service goals preferably in a commission-based role.
