Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor to lead asbestos abatement projects with precision and safety. In this vital role, you will oversee asbestos removal operations, ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and manage a team of technicians. Your expertise will help maintain a safe working environment while delivering high-quality results on each project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your leadership skills in a specialized construction environment focused on health and safety.
Responsibilities- Supervise asbestos removal projects from start to finish, ensuring all work adheres to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead and coordinate a team of asbestos technicians, providing clear instructions, training, and oversight to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct site assessments to identify asbestos-containing materials and develop detailed work plans for removal or encapsulation.
- Oversee proper containment, removal, disposal, and decontamination procedures to prevent contamination spread.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, including safety reports, inspection logs, and compliance records.
- Ensure all team members follow proper personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met safely and on schedule.
- Proven supervising experience in asbestos abatement or related environmental remediation fields, must be able to document 5 ACM removals.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in high-stakes environments.
- Extensive knowledge of asbestos regulations, safety standards, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Experience with cleaning, custodial practices, or janitorial work is a plus for understanding site cleanliness protocols post-removal.
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality cleaning standards can be beneficial for maintaining client satisfaction during project turnover phases.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing commercial cleaning or custodial teams within industrial or construction settings.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with regulatory bodies, clients, and team members to ensure clarity and compliance.
