Water Restoration Technician

Restoration 1 of Central Houston, a company specializing in water damage restoration, mold removal, mold remediation, fire damage repair, and smoke damage restoration, is seeking an experienced Water Restoration Technician. The job will be hands-on, with a 24-hour emergency response schedule.

Competitive pay rates are offered, with overtime opportunities and incentives. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating variable emergency call schedule, including overtime and weekend hours.

• Communicate with home/business owners to secure service contracts.
• Assist with job site inspections and determine the scope of work to be performed.
• Remove and dispose of non-salvageable items.
• Conduct demolition on damaged materials.
• Set up drying equipment according to IICRC S500 Standards.
• Prepare documentation pertaining to the loss, including contracts, pictures, and daily reports.
• Document work in project management and moisture mapping software programs.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and equipment.
• Communicate with management to report project status, updates, issues, or concerns.
• Perform general construction/repair work as needed.

• 2 years of water damage restoration experience (or similar trade).
• High school diploma/GED.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Clean driving record and valid license.
• Ability to lift 50 LBS (100 LBS team lift).
• Ability to climb ladders and work overhead at varying heights.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
