Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a Mechanic who has a willingness to learn and perform a variety of trades and specialty skills in the hangar door sector. These will include, but not be limited to:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, and general inspections.
• Diagnose and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, forklifts, and heavy machinery.
• Keep the Operations Supervisor informed on the condition of the equipment.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Keep records on the preventative maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Assist with managing inventory and ordering parts needed for repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Perform annual DOT inspections.

• Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in extreme weather.
• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
