Provides support to the Maintenance Supervisor by completing installation, maintenance, and repair requests on all CCSD HVAC system equipment and peripheral devices.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (High School Diploma or HSE).
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Georgia unrestricted HVAC license or North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Service Technician Certificate. NATE certification must include Core Service, Air Distribution Service, Air‑to‑Air Heat Pump Service (including Air Conditioning Service), and Gas Heating Service modules.
• Minimum of two (2) years of commercial HVAC repair/installation experience; five (5) years preferred. A valid State License in Electrical or Master Plumbing can substitute for the 2‑year experience requirement.
• Physical:
  Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, use stairs and ladders, and lift up to 75 lb over short distances.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities: effective written and oral communication, computer proficiency, safe operation of tools, test equipment, and district vehicles, proficiency in installing and repairing HVAC equipment, leadership skills, high degree of electrical technical competence.
• The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Inspect HVAC equipment at existing CCSD facilities and develop requirement lists for replacements under SPLOST.
• Produce projected cost estimates for components, materials, tools, personnel, and equipment for large HVAC maintenance or implementation projects.
• Inspect HVAC equipment at newly constructed facilities and produce a punch‑list of items not meeting County Design Standards.
• Promote good relations with customers, the public, and peers.
• Provide on‑call support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork for the computerized maintenance database and meet all state and local requirements accurately and timely.
• Maintain the proper parts inventory on the district vehicle and return any excess parts to inventory.
• Care for and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for the role.
• Plan, stage, and complete cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and installation of all assigned equipment.
• Initiate and complete assigned projects in a timely and accurate manner.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and building plans.
• Recommend equipment and supplies for purchase.
• Report any safety‑related issues immediately to the appropriate administrator.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
