AV Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose AV system issues across client environments
• Perform system adjustments and programming changes (Crestron, Biamp, QSYS, Extron) with support from engineering as needed
• Execute lite AV installations, including equipment setup and cable termination
• Respond to service calls and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime for clients
• Deliver strong customer service while working directly with clients onsite
• Assist installation teams during slower service periods to maintain productivity
• Document service work, updates, and system changes by completing daily reports of work performed
• Travel to client sites as needed

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 3–5+ years of experience as an AV technician (service or lead technician background preferred)
• AV troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
• Working knowledge of AV control systems (Crestron, Biamp, QSYS, Extron)
• Ability to terminate cables and perform lite installations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Effective time management and ability to work independently
• Flexibility to support both service calls and installation teams as needed
• Experience making minor programming adjustments to AV systems preferred
• Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use power tools to complete installation and repairs
• Ability to read and comprehend written communication
• Ability to input data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• Ability to respond to emails in a timely manner
• Frequent use of stairs, climbing and descending
• Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time
