Role DescriptionThe Concrete Pump Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Marietta, GA. This role is responsible for safely operating and maintaining concrete pumping equipment on commercial job sites, including setup, priming, pumping, and cleaning of the pump and related systems. Daily tasks include positioning the pump truck, laying out and connecting tubing and hoses, monitoring concrete consistency and flow, and coordinating closely with site supervisors, finishers, and truck drivers to ensure timely and accurate placement.
The operator conducts basic equipment inspections, identifies potential issues, and follows safety and quality standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; CDL required.
- Experience operating concrete pumps, pump trucks, or related machinery, with strong awareness of job site safety practices.
- Knowledge of tubing, hoses, and line systems used in concrete pumping, including setup, connections, and safe handling on various types of terrain.
- Understanding of concrete and cement properties, mix consistency, and pumping requirements to ensure proper placement and minimize waste.
- Ability to follow and deliver training on concrete pump operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance to support team performance.
- Skills in conducting routine inspections of pumps, hoses, and support equipment, identifying wear, leaks, or mechanical issues before and after use.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift and move heavy hoses or equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to punctuality and job site professionalism.
