Job Overview

RADCO is seeking a Maintenance Technician who is eager to learn, takes pride in the quality of their work, and is resourceful in solving problems. This role supports the upkeep and maintenance of multi‑family properties, ensuring safety and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Ensure the property is always well kept and maintained and immediately address any safety concerns.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, including HVAC troubleshooting and pool maintenance, if applicable.
  • Remove and transfer appliances and equipment to/from storage area to apartments as required and assist with moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc., to dumpster.
  • Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor.
  • Perform on‑call emergency service requests when scheduled; respond to after‑hours calls within one hour of receipt.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, prospects, and visitors.
  • Demonstrate RADCO’s value of Caring by treating residents, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors with respect and professionalism.
  • Perform any reasonable task consistent with company objectives as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi‑family.
  • HVAC/EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (required); CPO certification preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, roofing repairs, and other general maintenance skills.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with pride in quality of work.
  • Initiative and self‑motivation to complete tasks.
  • Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends per on‑call schedule.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing laws, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required. Position requires furnishing reliable transportation for job functions.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires constant movement including use of arms and legs, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and handling materials.
  • May be required to work on roofs or atop buildings.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders up to Type IAA (Extra Heavy Duty) of 375 lbs.
