Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary:

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance duties for all commercial equipment supporting Walmart stores. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, complete PMs within the timeframe, and conduct training for Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).

• Previous experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.
• Understand the importance of customer service and communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully.
• Drive personal accountability and manage time effectively to meet commitments.
• Adapt to changing demands, using judgment to identify priorities.
• Believe in servant leadership and work as a team to achieve goals.

• 3 years' experience in maintenance.
• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in one of: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade (or 5 years’ experience).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least 3 years and a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in the related trade in the city/state where the job is located.
• Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
